Johnson released a new poster earlier this week featuring Maui, Moana, Hei Hei, and Moana's pet pig Pua and now the actor has debuted a brand new trailer for the Disney animated movie.ĭuring an appearance on Good Morning America, Johnson brought the new trailer for Moana (above). The upcoming film stars Dwayne Johnson ( Central Intelligence, Baywatch) as the legendary demigod Maui, newcomer Auli’i Cravalho as the titular character, and Alan Tudyk ( Wreck-It Ralph) as Moana's pet rooster Hei Hei in an adventure across ancient Oceana in the South Pacific. Now, Disney's next animated feature to hit theaters is Moana.
This year alone, Disney debuted Zootopia, which was a hit with both critics and casual moviegoers as evidenced by the film earning over $1 billion at the global box office meanwhile, Pixar released Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory, which topped the box office for a number of weeks over the summer.
Between the two powerhouses that are Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios, the company has had a number of hits among their animated features in recent years.
